Center for Scientific Review, National Institutes of Health

Tatiana Cohen obtained her Ph.D. in pharmacology at the University of Maryland at Baltimore, where she studied transcriptional regulation of muscle-specific genes.

She continued her postdoctoral training at the National Cancer Institute, where she developed transgenic mouse models of human disorders that result from mutations in nuclear envelope-associated proteins. She then joined the Children’s Research Institute, where she used gene microarrays and proteomic profiling and developed cell-based assays for modeling mechanisms of gene expression underlying muscle disease. Prior to joining CSR, Cohen was faculty at the Kennedy Krieger Institute with a dual appointment in the Department of Neurology at the Johns Hopkins University.
