Registration check in will begin November 20, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. and also 8:30 a.m. on November 21 and 22, 2024.

Poster Presenters: You may set up your poster anytime on November 22.
Coffee and Lunch Service: There is no food service in this building. Coffee and tea will be available during breaks courtesy of the Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences (FAES).

Public Transportation:

Via Metrorail

Metrorail service is available from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and from Union Station (railway). Take Metro’s Red Line to the Medical Center Metro station. From the station, NIH employees can take the “Executive Plaza” (also known as the orange route) shuttle bus, which drops you off in front of building 6001. You can also exit the Red Line at the North Bethesda Station and board a Ride-On bus (routes 5, 26, or 81) for service along Executive Boulevard. Metro also offers BWI Express Metro bus service between the Baltimore Washington International Airport and the Greenbelt Metro station

Driving to NSC:

From Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI)

Take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway south toward Washington, DC. At I-495 (Capital Beltway), head west toward Silver Spring/Bethesda. From the Beltway (I-495), take Exit 34, which is Rt. 355 (Wisconsin Avenue/Rockville Pike) and head north toward Rockville. Drive approximately 2.4 miles and turn left onto Old Georgetown Road. At the second light, turn right onto Executive Boulevard. The building is on your immediate right, and visitor parking is at the second driveway entrance.

From Dulles International Airport (IAD)

Head east on the Dulles Airport Access Road for approximately 13 miles. Exit onto I-495 (Capital Beltway), heading north to Bethesda/Baltimore. From the Beltway (I-495), take Exit 38 (I-270 north to Rockville-Frederick). Proceed approximately 3 miles to Montrose Road (east) Exit 4A. Drive 1.5 miles, bearing right onto Montrose Parkway. Turn right onto Executive Boulevard. Proceed for 1/2 mile. The Neuroscience Building, 6001 Executive Boulevard, is on the left.

From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)

Head north on the George Washington Parkway for approximately 12 miles. Exit onto I-495 (Capital Beltway), heading north to Maryland. From the Beltway (I-495), take (I-270) and head north towards Rockville. Stay to the right and bear off to the “Connector/Distributor” lanes. Exit at Montrose Road (east). Drive approximately 1.5 miles, bearing right onto Montrose Parkway. Turn right onto Executive Boulevard. Proceed for 1/2 mile. The Neuroscience Building, 6001 Executive Boulevard, is on the left.

From Baltimore and All Points North of Washington, DC

Take I-95 south toward Washington, DC. At I-495 (Capital Beltway), head west toward Silver Spring/Bethesda. From the Beltway (I-495), take Exit 34, which is Rt. 355 (Wisconsin Ave./Rockville Pike) and head north toward Rockville. Drive approximately 2.4 miles and turn left onto Old Georgetown Road. Take I-95 south toward Washington, DC. At I-495 (Capital Beltway), head west toward Silver Spring/Bethesda. From Eastern and Southern Maryland and All Points Southeast of Washington, DC

Take I-95 north toward Washington DC. At I-495 (Capital Beltway), head west toward Northern Virginia. From the Beltway (I-495), take (I-270) and head north toward Rockville. Stay to the right and bear off to the “Connector/Distributor” lanes. Exit at Montrose Road (east). Drive approximately 1.5 miles, bearing right onto Montrose Parkway. Turn right onto Executive Boulevard. Proceed for 1/2 mile. The Neuroscience Building, 6001 Executive Boulevard, is on the left.

Parking:

Free Visitor parking is available on the lot in front and on the side of the building, as well as in the rear multi-level parking garage.

Access and Security at NSC

The NSC has implemented security measures to help ensure your safety. All visitors must enter the NSC Center and proceed to the guard station in the lobby to obtain a Visitor Pass, each day. You will be asked to submit to a personal inspection.

Visitors must provide a form of government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport.

Personal Inspections – All visitors should be prepared to submit to a personal inspection prior to entering the campus. These inspections may be conducted with a handheld monitoring device, a metal detector and by visible inspection. Additionally, your personal belongings may be inspected and passed through an x-ray machine.

Visitor passes must be prominently displayed at all times while on the NSC campus.
